American Civil Rights Movement 1950's, Lesson Plan

 The American Civil Rights movement is very important, and is still a process that we are working on in America.  Even today voting rights in many states are under attack! Let's look at the history and see what we can learn and apply to our present day problems.

Who was Martin Luther King Jr? What did he do? 



Homework Imagine you are a reporter for the Montgomery Newspaper.  Write an article about Rosa Parks and the aftermath of her refusing to give up her seat on the bus.
