Frederick, The First Prussian King, Chapter 13, History of the World, Book 3, Lesson Plan

King Frederick I of Prussia was very ambitious.  Let's study pages 118-121, and then discuss the questions.

What did the Holy Roman Emperor tell Fredrick about being King? 
How did he become King? 
How did he act when he went to Brandenberg? 
What did he call his kingdom? 
How did this help the commoners? 
What does the word "reich" mean? 
What institutions did Frederick I start? 
What langugage did he want people to speak with better grammar?  
How did his son and grandson continue his ideas?


Homework: 
You are working in the geography department of the University of Prussia. 
Prepare a short class for your students about how Prussia came to be and what you think will happen in the future.
