Vocabulary
samurai Noun – Fierce Japanese fighters
Example: The Samurai were fighting against the Ninjas.

Woven- verb past participle of weeve – to interlace especially to form a texture, fabric, or design
Example: I loved the woven design of the wall hanging, it was so pretty

mercy – noun kind or forgiving treatment
Example: He showed mercy to the small child, helping him to cross the busy street.

No mercy – noun - not good treatment.
Example: The boxer show no mercy to his opponent, and knocked him down after 5 minutes.

Example
I was in a concert band, playing the clarinet. There was a contest of all the players in the band to go to an all city band. I wanted to be one of the two clarinet positions that were available in my school. We had a list of pieces that we had to play. I practiced them every day for two weeks and then we had the audition! I didn’t win 1st place, but I did win 2nd place! We then played in the all city band!
