I like IKE The Eisenhower years in the United States - Lesson Plan

 Dwight D. Eisenhower  tenure as President was a period of mostly peace and prosperty.  He was the general who had mastermineded the Normandy landing in 1944, so he easily won the 1952 Presidential Election.  Watch one of the actual advertisements that showed on the new medium Television: 

Can you catch some of the words? It repeats itself many times.  



The music for the ad was written by Irving Berlin a talanted songwriter who went on to write many popular musicals that people still love to watch as well as the Christmas song
