Charlemange - Charles the Great

Charlemange, was one of the most influential rulers of Europe from his time onto today. Many other leaders have sought to have as much land and power as he did.




In today's class we will study in the Glenco World History book pages 284-289

Questions: 

Who was Charlemange and why was he so important? 
Where did he rule?  
Where did he expand his rule?
What did other people think about him? 
Who was his father and what did his father do? 
What type of person was Charlemange? 




Homework: 

You are the advisor to the Pope Gregory, tell him to crown the King Charles Holy Roman Empire and why he should do this.
