Taking into account all the sources that we read today:

Draw a family tree of a typical Roman family.

Describe the difference between a modern family and the Roman Family.

What happened if a child was adopted in Ancient Rome?

What happened when the father died?

How did the roles change in the 2nd Century?

How was the status of women in Rome different than the status of women in Greece?

How were children educated?  What was the difference between boy's education and girl's education?

Homework:

You are the oldest son of an elderly Roman Pater. Ask your father to enter into a contract to buy a new house. Write it on a scroll for him to read.  Why is this good for the family?  Who will live in this house?  (Make sure you tell him all the benefits in a way that he will like)
