Scientific Farming, The Story of the World, Book 3, Chapter 16

Scientific Farming, up until now, farming was the occupation of the lowest level of  society.  The peasants were the ones who produced the food.  The way that they farmed was passed down from father to son.  Was this the best way to grow crops?  No one knew.  This was how it was always done.  But now with the Englightenment,  people began to study not only science, but also how to grow food more effectively.
