How to write a Business E-mail Part 1 Asking for a meeting

Writing a well written business e-mail can help you in your business no matter which field you are working in.

The basics of business e-mails are similiar to a formal business letter except that you don't have to be THAT formal.  

You have to present all your facts, in a concise, simple to read manner and be respectful. 

Homework: 
You have to write an e-mail to introduce yourself and your company to a government agency. You want them to choose your company instead of a rival for a government contract. 

Example:

Dear Mr. Smith, 

I am with XYZ accounting firm, we have been doing business with the city of Del Mont, CA for 10 years.  We have helped the city of Del Mont curb their expenses, and made the city a better place to live. We are expanding into your area in two months. 
We would like to set up a meeting to explore if we can offer our services to Oxmore, CA in the same or similar capacity.
