World War II the Surrender of Japan

 Today we are learning about the final end of World War II. 

Japan was a very proud nation and eventhough they were losing, they didn't want give up. 

The battles in the South Pacific were going well for the Allies, mostly for the Americans. 

My grandfather on my mother's side was a plumber working on the submarines.  You don't want a leak in the plumbing lines when you are on a submarine!!
