Betty Friedan Women's Civil Rights movement. Lesson Plan

Where would the world be today with out this outspoken woman Betty Friedan?

We would still be in the kitchen only cooking and not out in the world doing all the things that modern women do nowadays. We are doctors, teachers, politicans, computer programmers, mathematicans, authors and yes nurses, and mothers. We do everything that men do and even succeed to do the traditional roles that women have done through the ages as well.

Let's meet Betty Friedan:

Get her book on Amazon, still amazing to read after all this time!

Now we will study in the Big Fat Notebook of American History pages 450-451

Questions
What was the role of women before WWII?
Why did women want to do more types of jobs and opportunities?
Which three organizations did she found?
What type of work did they do?

What is the status of women in your country?
What still needs to be done?

Homework:
