Aftermath of WWII in the USA

 It took me a while to find these resources about the aftermath of WWII in America.

Then go to this video: There is even a picture of UCLA, my alma mater!! 


">Questions: 
What did most returning soldiers want to do? 
What new type of consumer goods did they want to buy? 
Which factories were converted to civilan uses?  
What was the attitude towards consumerism? 




Homework: 

You are a returning soldier coming home from Europe.  Decide what you want to do.  Will you go to college on the GI Bill?  Will you get a low cost loan to buy a farm?  Go to work in a factory?  Tell about your choice and give your reasons.
