The Second Industrial Revolution, Story of the World.

 

This video is a bit fast, but worthwhile to watch a few times. 


The Second Revolution changed forever the way goods were produced and marketed. 

Read Story of the World pages 161-164

Big Fat Notebook of American History page 285-294, answer the questions on page 293 on your own before looking at the answers on page 294!! 

Questions

What did Andrew Carnegie feel about rich people?  
How did he feel about poor people? 
What is stock in a company? 
What is an investor? 
How did factory owners get rich? 
What did the common people do? 

Homework: 
You are a union organizer in a factory.  Write a speech to get workers to start a union chapter in the factory. 
Tell about the benefits of a union.
